You might know your ABC, but do you know Hayworths?

Take a look below, you might just learn something new (feel free to sing along, we don't mind)!

All the Fun of the Circus! The 2015 theme saw the circus come to town and the scarecrows were certainly the stars of the show!

BBQ – after working up an appetite walking round the village looking at all the scarecrows, why not grab a hot dog or cheeseburger from Hayworth’s BBQ?

Charity – Lapworth Scarecrow Festival is a charitable organisation and all profits are shared amongst local community organisations.

Date – this year’s festival takes place on 16th &17th September 2017 so put it in your diary!

Entertainment - for young and old: bouncy castles, scarerow dancers, bands, ice creams, games and more!

Free – entry to the festival is completely free – there is no entrance fee and free parking is available.

Grand total - we were able to distribute a fantastic £10,000 to local community organisations following the 2015 festival (we took a break in 2016)!

Hayworth – ever wondered who this Hayworth we keep talking about is? Well he’s our mascot and appears as our logo.

Imagination – the source of all the (sometimes) weird but (always) wonderful scarecrows that appear in the village over festival weekend.

Joining In - the biggest achievement of the Festival is to see so many volunteers, organisations and visitors joining in all the activiity that takes place before and during the weekend.

Kindness – it is only with the kindness and support of all our very generous sponsors, providers of raffle and silent auction prizes and other donors that we are able to make the festival such a success.

Lapworth – where all the fun happens! The scarecrows are placed all around the village and there is a walking route mapped out so you can see them all and a bus for those who would prefer not to walk.

Music – there’s live music across the weekend from some great bands – details to be announced.

No - need to drive round in your car; so much more can be seen by foot or by the bus we hope to have on offer.

Open to all - anyone can enter a scarecrow, not just people in Lapworth – visiting scarecrows are always very welcome.

Programme – available to purchase at a small fee, the programme provides information about the festival and the all-important voting forms for the scarecrow competition! Advertising opportunities are also available – please contact us for more information.

Queue - we do our utmost to keep the queue down at the cake and tea stall!

Rowington – although the festival is called Lapworth Scarecrow Festival, it extends to Rowington as well.

Scarecrows – what else?!

Trains - don't fancy driving? Lapworth has its very own train station smack bang in the middle of the route with regular services to and from Birmingham, Warwick and Solihull.

Under cover – although we always hope that the sun will shine, we are fully prepared for rain and most of the entertainment can be moved under cover if the weatherman is not kind.

Volunteers – as vital as scarecrows, we rely heavily on volunteers to organise and run the festival. We are extremely grateful for any volunteers, especially during the festival itself so please contact us if you can spare a couple of hours to help us out (it is great fun, we promise!)

Wizard of Oz – winner of the Most Imaginative Scarecrow in 2013.

XT Brewery – the people who bring us the very popular Beer Festival.

Yes - you'd like to enter a scarecrow - sign up here!

Zzzz - for worn out little people after their exciting , fun-filled day!
